In brief...
CDCI Research leverages years of corporate experience in claims/litigation support from our project teams to conduct historic research and compile document collections that speak to all issues within a claim.
Our document management and database teams electronically organize documents and catalogue all documents to be used within the litigation and settlement process. These collections are then used by our researchers to develop reports, narratives, chronologies and other written products on the key issues in a claim.
Our research teams support our clients throughout the entire litigation process. After our professional researchers have reviewed and analyzed the documents related to a statement of claim, our senior researchers use their knowledge of government and other archival records to provide clients with an impartial assessment of the documentary evidence relevant to the claim. Our clients can use this assessment to inform how they respond to the litigation. From initial file identification and document review through discovery and trial, CDCI has the subject matter and technical skill to provide clients with objective research and a comprehensive litigation support solution.
CDCI research has assisted our clients with multiple litigation processes to clarify the particulars of a claim including:
-
Document production
-
Discovery
-
Undertaking
-
Interrogatories
-
Settlement negotiations
-
Preparation for Case Management Conferences
-
Trial preparation
-
Expert report review
-
Expert report development
CDCI Research also provides support to resolve disputes through alternate dispute mechanisms and other government processes that had been put in place to expedite the resolution of conflicts between the government and third parties. Our settlement and commission of inquiry experience ranges from providing support for a settlement mandate to managing the research and document management associated with public inquiries.
